About Our Journey

A Movement for Women, Children, and Family Welfare

I am Shobhita Joshi, an educationist, writer, counsellor and social worker, brought up in the royal cities of Lucknow and Jaipur. In my teens, I moved to “the City Beautiful” — Chandigarh, which has been an important part of my life ever since.

After completing my schooling at reputed schools in Lucknow and Jaipur, I pursued my higher education at the renowned Panjab University, Chandigarh. A teacher by profession, I have 25 years of experience in the field of education, and I take immense pride in the fact that many of my students today hold eminent positions in different walks of life. I have proficiency in teaching English and Social Sciences.

Social work, particularly at the grassroots level, has always been close to my heart. I have been associated with social work for many years and continue to work towards women’s empowerment and the welfare of children and families.

About

Reading has always been one of my greatest interests. My love for books inspired me to encourage my students to read as much as possible. I also had the opportunity to work with an international company associated with books, where we developed a wide network of schools across different cities. We organised Book Clubs and Book Fairs, enabling students to participate in a variety of educational activities and helping inculcate in them the value and joy of reading.

I have also nurtured a passion for writing since my early years. This passion continues to this day. The blogs I write are an expression of my thoughts and inner feelings, often inspired by real-life experiences. Travelling across the globe has broadened my outlook on life, enriched my understanding of people and cultures, and made the expression of my thoughts and opinions more meaningful.

Over the years, my passion for social work grew stronger. I felt the need for a platform that would enable me to connect more closely with communities and work at the grassroots level. This vision led to the birth of SSAJ Ahasas on July 4, 2025. Through SSAJ Ahasas, I hope to contribute towards women’s empowerment, child welfare, education, health, family welfare and social awareness while working closely with communities and addressing issues that affect their everyday lives. I believe that meaningful change begins with empathy, awareness and collective action. I look forward to the support and participation of the community as we work together towards building a more aware, empowered and compassionate society.
